About Rebel Soul Design
You know that voice in your head? The quiet voice you usually ignore? The voice that:
- urges you to follow your own path
- tells you that you’re fabulous, even when you’re not feeling it
- reminds you that it doesn’t matter what anyone else thinks of you; it only matters what you think of you
- doesn’t let you forget that what you want in life really does matter and sometimes you need to put yourself first
That is your Rebel Soul speaking to you. Stop ignoring it and listen. Great things will happen if you do.
Welcome to Rebel Soul Design!
I’m Lisa Robertson – designer, creator, and keeper of a rebel soul. After years of silencing my own inner voice, I finally sat down and listened. Really listened to that voice in my head. It told me to stop denying my dreams, my creativity, my love of art and nature. It made me recognize that it was time to start doing something that I really loved. It was time to push my own fears about success and failure aside and just go for it. So I did, and Rebel Soul Design was born!
I believe that every woman has an inner rebel. If she listens, it will empower her to do amazing things. It is this idea of empowerment that inspires me to create jewelry that reflects the inner strength and beauty that every woman radiates. My jewelry has a modern aesthetic that balances the contradiction of strong and feminine. You are a bold, independent, and authentic woman and the jewelry you wear should reflect these traits to the world.
After studying Fine Art at the University of Guelph in the late 1980's, and like so many art students, I went on to do other things in order to make a living. Over the years I have dabbled in painting, pottery, glass blowing, and stained glass. In 2014 I took my first silver smithing class and was immediately hooked on designing and creating jewelry. The photo below is from my very first silver smith class - let's just say I have come a long way since then!
In November of 2016, I quit my full time job and started working for myself. One of greatest and most fulfilling things I did was start Rebel Soul Design. I have finally found my creative outlet that has allowed my own inner rebel a chance to shine.
I don’t know where this journey will ultimately take me, but I know I am enjoying the ride. I hope you will come along too!
Let your Rebel Soul shine!!
