Metalsmithing 101: Foundational Skills
Perfect for beginners, this 15-hour metalsmithing course introduces fundamental bench techniques used in jewelry making. You’ll gain hands-on experience with:
- Sawing and piercing metal
- Soldering with an oxygen-propane Gentec little torch
- Forming techniques using hammers, pliers, and dapping tools
- Texturing and finishing metal for a professional look
- Crafting findings like clasps, ear wires, and jump rings
Using these techniques, you’ll create:
- A hand-forged sterling silver link bracelet
- Saw-pierced copper or brass earrings with silver ear wires
- A mixed-metal soldered pendant

Meditation/Spinner Ring Workshop
Create a unique spinner ring—also known as a meditation or fidget ring—in this six-hour silversmithing workshop. Learn how to shape, texture, and solder sterling silver, adding brass or copper embellishments for a personalized touch.
Earring Basics Workshop
Perfect for beginners, this six-hour class teaches the essentials of earring design and creation. You'll make:
- Silver textured hoops with ear wires
- Silver stud earrings with posts
- Simple brass hoops with posts
Embellished Stacking Rings Workshop
Stacking rings are a jewelry staple! In this six-hour metal smithing workshop, you’ll design and create three to four stacking rings, adding unique silver, brass, and copper embellishments.
