The end of last year became the start of something new for me.
I was tired. I wasn't living. I was merely surviving. I wasn't fun anymore. I wasn't doing much that I cared about. So I decided it was time to get drastic. Much to the dismay of my husband, I quit my full time job and I started a business designing and making jewelry. Some of my friends thought this move was incredibly brave, others thought it was totally crazy. I think my truth lies somewhere between the two.
Ultimately, this was not about quitting a soul crushing job where my daily mantra had become, "well, at least I get paid anyway". It was about finally paying attention to that brave/crazy voice in the back of my mind telling me it was now or never! My rebellious soul would not be quashed and it ultimately became the inspiration for the name of this business - Rebel Soul Design.
This past year has been a wild ride and I have learnt so much, not just about designing and making jewelry; business, marketing and social media; but also about myself and what I am capable of doing and achieving. I have never worked harder on anything in my entire life. I have never felt happier, more fulfilled, or as empowered as I do now, and I truly want to share this with you, through the jewelry that I create.
