Girls of my generation, growing up in the 70's and 80's, were tamed in so many ways. Be a good girl. Stay clean. Dress pretty. Girls can't do that. Be feminine. Put everyone else first. Don't think of yourself. Don't be selfish. Find your prince. Get married. Don't want. Be beautiful. Don't be a slut. Don't show too much skin. Smile. The list goes on and on. Thank goodness things have changed so much. I see my friends raising their daughters to know their own minds, to be strong, and independent, and fierce, and to be unafraid. Let your girls be wild. And for those of us that were tamed, learn to be wild again. What does your wild heart and rebel soul desire?⠀
